The disease involves the abnormal development of children because of impaired development/damage to the brain during pregnancy or delivery.
Major symptoms of cerebral palsy are Developmental milestone delay like delay in attaining rolling over, sitting, standing, walking, neck holding, poor intelligence, etc.
The causes of this disease are:
- Developmental abnormalities of brain
- Injury to brain during pregnancy/during delivery process either mechanical or due to lack of supply of oxygen/ food to baby.
The basic investigation that we do for cerebral palsy are elevant blood and radiological investigation.
